Hello, I’m JrCasas, an illustrator and visual artist based in Spain.

After completing a Fine Arts degree, I began my professional career in the art field. Over time, my practice shifted toward illustration and design. In 2021, with the rise of digital art, I felt the need to return to a more personal and experimental artistic practice, both digitally and physically, a phase of work that I continue to develop today.

My work explores the intersection between the organic, the mechanical, and the absurd, constructing a retrofuturistic universe where logic and impossibility coexist in balance. I transform everyday elements into artifacts of improbable yet meticulously detailed engineering.

This fascination with the hybrid and the absurd has its roots in my childhood and in the influence of my father, who, through his passion for DIY and electronics, transformed everyday objects into visually absurd yet functional creations. That world remains within me, and this inspiration is reflected in my work, where I create objects that seem purposefully designed, even though their real function may be uncertain or impossible.
